Cabin Time!!!

Oh how I love the cabin...let me count the ways....

...and that's just from the first quick visit out there.
Ashleigh and the kids came out for a visit to Snowbird and the cabin but the pictures are all on her camera so another post is on its way. I taught the twins how to water ski!!!!!!!!! Probably the highlight of my summer!

OregON!!!!!

Warning: Picture Overload

I flew to Oregon to celebrate Elizabeth and Corey's wedding. It's been fun to see these 2 start their lives together. They have such a free spirit about themselves that it's hard to not enjoy yourself! Oh and how could I forget seeing my Sara? I've missed that dog!

Best airport pick up to date...Corey and Elizabeth and the Cabriolette

Beautiful Oregon scenary

Elizabeth's awesome house...

Yes, they have a chicken coop in their backyard

We took a trip to the coast. It was bazar to be at the beach in July having to wear a long sleeve shirt, jacket and jeans...what!!?!? Anyway it was beautiful and we enjoyed watched the whale swim around!

Elizabeth opened a Spa with 2 other girls and it's unbelievably cool! It's Spa Cha Cha and you should all become friends with it on facebook! One of the girls she opened the store with threw her a surprise bridal shower...

The Wedding!!!!! Elizabeth chose to get married in only Elizabeth fashion....at a court house wearing a flannel jacket. That's right! Who knew the ballerina I met 8 years ago was hiding this much hick inside???

Erica and I tag teamed the wedding festivities. I arrived early for some prep work and the actual ceremony and Erica got the wedding dinner and reception/party. Luckily my flight was delayed (thanks Delta) and was able to see Erica for 37 seconds in the airport. It was fun to have all 3 of us together again....it was like the dorms all over again :)

Sweetie I'm so happy I was able to spend your special day with you! It was a great trip and I couldn't be happier to see such a glow on your face! I'm truly excited for you to start this next chapter in your life. Love you long time!!!!

Feliez Cumpleanos para mi

So this post is super late but it helps me to look back when I'm doing my scrapbook so bare with me :)

My favorite thing on this earth to do is go boating and the best part about my bday is that my dad is so awesome he always makes sure to have the boat ready! The water was cold and choppy but that doesn't keep the smile from my face!

I used to be super scared to drive my dad boating but since it's usually the 3 of us out on the lake in the middle of the day (yes, I realize I live the lifestyle of a retired person) then I've gotten pretty used to it. Here we are after our fabulous first ski of the season!

After a great day on the lake, I was lucky enough to hang out with all my girlfriends for Kristi's baby shower! It was so much fun to see everyone, especially Kristi and her adorable little bump. Kris, you look amazing!!!!!

My favorite picture of the evening was the old Humble Yale Abode roommies :)

The girls were so nice to take a second and sing happy birthday to me towards the end of the evening. I was completely embarrassed but it's all good cuz I would have done the same thing. Thanks girls!

Grandpa's Day

This summer (once it decided to finally come) has been crazy! June was filled with lots of working and more working so I could take heaps of time off in July for vacations :) I was able to squeeze in a quick trip down to St. George to help my grandpa celebrate Father's Day. I drove in Sat night after work and left bright and early Monday morning so I could make it back in time for work at 10am.

Even though it was such a short trip I was really happy I made the effort to see my grandparents. I love hanging out and playing bridge with them :)

Here I am with my gpa and the Snowbird coffee mug I gave him for his present!

The Rents are in Town!

Summer is finally here and we all know what that means.....it's cabin time!!!! My parents came into town a little early to help me celebrate my birthday! I decided to make a new tradition and have my birthday dinner up at one of Snowbird's restaurants, the Steak Pit. They have the most unbelievable steak/crab dinner! It wouldn't be a trip up to the Bird without a tram ride though :)

Here are me and the folks with the Twin Peaks in the background. Check out all the snow!

Mommy/daughter picture :)

My dad usually has a hard time hanging out on the Hidden Peak but he did really well this time! He even stopped to pose for a picture next to Chip's Run aka the infamous place where he fell once upon a time ago when he skied Snowbird

A couple years ago we did this same thing to celebrate my birthday and I had my parents (and Roger and Kari) experience the zip rider. Well I pulled a prank on my mom and she has yet to forgive me so we tried the Alpine Slide instead!

Unfortunately right before we rode the slide one of the supervisors was talking to us telling my mom how someone had just seriously hurt themselves by going too fast so Laura decides to take ages going down....my dad was able to snap 1 picture of me but 4 of my mom! Gotta love her!

It was a fun day! I can't get over how much I love the mountains!!! I need to remember to enjoy them more and work in them less ;) I'm excited to continue this tradition!!! Oh and anyone is welcome to a free tram ride to get out of the heat in the valley, I welcome visitors!
