Aww the tennis tournament!!!!

Some people's favorite time of the year is Christmas, for other's it's watching the flowers blossom in the spring time...for me it's the tennis tournament in Palm Springs CA!!!! My family goes out every year amongst the windmills, sparkling diamonds and super old people to bake in the sun and enjoy some quality tennis (the Williams' sister don't attend because we boo-ed them one year :)

My dad spoils us with great seats! We get so close you can hear them talk between each other and sometimes themselves! Dan enjoys checking out all the upcoming super stars and I don't really blame him...when it comes to anyone besides his girlfriend he has good taste!

We do also socialize between each other also though. Here is me and my favorite sister-in-law!
And don't worry Snelgrove I wouldn't disappoint you and leave out my dad's hat ;) P.S. It was documented but I did walk around for the majority of the day with a hat just like this one!
We're there from 11am until some evenings 11pm...we take this things pretty seriously! Sometimes the night matches are the most entertaining. We watched the Bryan brothers play again Bagdatis and Bob hit Bagdatis "down stairs". He milked it for everything he could...the trainer came and everything...loved it!!!! The crowd was in histarics

When there weren't people getting hit down low and the tennis lacked Peter Bendheim (good family friends with my dad) and I would scope out all the large diamonds. This is a picture of one of the un-ranked players rings...apparently even the unranked players do pretty well (no zoom taken with this photo)
Going to Australia gave me a sense of pride for their country and so I cheered on Lleyton Hewitt! He didn't win but he went further than I expected (it was my cheering and all my practice from back in hs). He is married to Becca, who is actually more famous over there than he is. She is an award winning Soap Opera Actress and I even scored a photo with her! :)

Ode to the Aussies!

I know this was ages ago but I just found the pictures and I've really been missing Australia recently and all the cool people over there so I'm ok with it :) Before Eliza left to go home Linny and I took her up to Hidden Peak (top of Snowbird)...it was bright so give us a break!

We also took her up to Park City just to enjoy the ski atmosphere...instead we found goofy/posh hats and couldn't resist trying them on next to the child left in a stroller with no parents or store clerk anywhere to be found!!!! Gotta love America :)

And finally on our last night together we went to a "servo" aka gas station and picked out all the different kinds of chocolate they had to offer and took them home and indulged ourselves with candy I didn't even know exsisted!

Definitely a good time! Sad to see her go but at least I still have Linny :)

Visitors!!!!! :)

This summer I did a lot of visiting other places and people and since my bank account no longer permits this I feel like everyone has been very obliging and come to me!!! :) First I had my sister and her family, then my brother and his wife, then my parents, Blanche cameup from the valley (that counts!), Duddy came all the way over from OZ and Anna and her bf came up for her birthday! I've been bad about my blogging but better late than never right????

My parents came out last year and skied 1 day (which included 3 runs) at Snowbird. My dad wasn't the biggest fan and now claims he is "too old" for the Snowbird terrian...I don't say anything and just go to Deer Valley with them, after all they do pay for me :)

Here are my parents right before my mom's favorite (any quite possibly world's shortest) ski run Blue Bell...love ya mom!
Gotta love those blue bird powder days spent on the groomers...but hey it's about the quality time together!!!

Next we had Blanche (Snelgrove's sister-in-law) and her friend Tina that came up from the valley. Blanche said she skied all through high school so I just assumed she wouldn't need a warm up run and took her down a double black diamond (most difficult run on the mountain)...let's just say after 2 min I was glad there was powder for her to fall into :)

After that nice run we took a breather up on the peak :) Never a dull moment with Blanche!!!

Then came the Aussie!!! She came over for a couple weeks...we tried to steal her and keep her but we failed! We did get some good snowboarding in and of course sushi!!!

We had a tradition last year of going out to dinner every Wednesday and in doing so we found a really cool sushi place...they make a "Lindsey roll" (no joke it's on their menu but no worries it's named after Smoot!) but anyway it wouldn't be a trip without visiting our stomping grounds with Emma and Marryanne! Finally I had my best friend since 4th grade come up with her boyfriend to visit and board for her birthday! Unfortunately she wasn't the biggest fan of the snow falling while she was trying to snowboard...she prefers the CA snow. Lame I know but it's true! We were even more lame and only snagged one photo!

$$$Skies for Sale$$$

So I've been in the market for sometime now to buy new skies! There is nothing wrong with the skies I have now but I just want something a little wider for the off trail powder that I've been finding back country this season. If anyone out there is in the market or knows anyone in the market for some new, great condition skies let me know please!!! I just got them tuned, edged, and waxed so they practically look new! I had them sold of Craig's List but the guy is trying to play me and get me involved on some sketchy fraud.
